Course Description: This course provides the firefighter the basic knowledge of strategy and tactics and how to apply the evidence based fire research conducted by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and other fire service organizations to fire ground operations. This course introduces new terminology related to fire dynamics, ventilation, flow paths, door control, transitional fire attack, basement fires, and new concepts for developing strategy and tactics.

Target Audience: The target audience for the course will encompass primarily first responders.

Note: This class is FREE for all Northampton County responders. For out-of-county responders, a fee may apply and will be determined by the number of students enrolled.
