  • Thursday, March 21st – 6:30pm – 10:30pm

  • Thursday, March 28th – 6:30pm – 10:30pm

  • Saturday, March 30th – 8am – 5pm

Course Description: The Safety officers’ responsibilities fall into two clear cut categories: those associated with responding at the incident scene, and those associated with managing the day-to-day affairs of the department. The Incident Safety Officer (ISO) course is focused on the incident and the role the Safety Officer plays as part of the Command Staff. The program provides the student with the decision-making process and skills required to recognize unsafe acts and conditions and take appropriate corrective actions..

Target Audience: The target audience is Company Officers (CO) who are experienced in firefighter safety issues and are familiar with an Incident Command System, hazardous materials management, and related emergency operations.

Course Prerequisites (Mandatory): NICS-FS or NICS-EMS or ICS and training to the Haz-Mat First Responder Operation level

Course Prerequisites (Recommended): N/A

Course Location: Northampton County Fire School (NCFS) – 6 Nagys Hill Road, Bangor, PA 18013

Additional Information / Notes: Course is FREE for all Northampton County Responders. For out-of-county responders a fee MAY apply and will be determined by the number of students enrolled.
