Course Flyer 

Course Date(s) & Time(s): 16 total hours 

  • Sunday, June 2nd – 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

  • Saturday, June 8th – 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Course Description: This 16 hour program involves the basic knowledge and skills necessary for rescuers who are or may be called upon to perform water rescues.

Target Audience: Firefighters; other first responders who are or may be called upon to perform water rescues.

Course Prerequisites (Mandatory): Must be at least 18 years old and able to swim and meet Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) Swim Standard Guidelines for Curriculum.

Gear Requirements (Mandatory): United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved personal flotation device (PFD), properly outfitted water rescue helmet & proper PPE.

Course Location: Freemansburg Volunteer Fire Company – 600 Monroe Street, Freemansburg, PA 18017 – (Directions)

Additional Information / Notes: This class is FREE to all Northampton County Responders.

  • For out-of-county responders, a fee may apply and will be determined by the number of students enrolled.
