Course Description: The Homemade Explosives (HME) course is designed to provide emergency first responders with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and respond to incidents involving HME’s.
Objective is for emergency first responders to be presented with information on the identification of HME explosive precursor chemicals, HME manufacturing indicators, HME exposure indicators, and pre-detonation and post-detonation response actions.
Throughout the course, emergency first responders discuss how to implement safe response strategies when recognizing the presence of HME indicators; understanding these response actions is critical to mitigating the hazards associated with HME.
Recommended Participants: Emergency first responders whom may face dangers of an HME incident.
