COURSE DESCRIPTION: This entry level course is designed to introduce new firefighters to fire ground operation including Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), fire dynamics, fire extinguishers, forcible entry, ladders and fire streams / hoseline advancement. This is the third of four levels (courses) in the curriculum.
MANDATORY PREREQUISITES:

Must be at least 14 years old at start of class.

Must have successfully completed Fireground Support (ELFG) course.

Must have successfully completed BOTH National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100 and 700 courses. NOTE: These courses can be taken online at PATRAIN or FEMA.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES: None listed.

Lecture & testing shall be held at the Northampton County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 100 Gracedale Avenue, Nazareth, PA 18064. (NC EOC DIRECTIONS)
