COURSE IS A 16-HOUR TRAINING COURSE. Schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.


COURSE DESCRIPTION: This ICS-400 provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses which are some of the prerequisites for attendees of ICS-400. 


MANDATORY PREREQUISITES: Participants MUST have successfully completed the following courses:

  • IS-100.b: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS) 

  • IS-200.b: Basic Incident Command System (ICS) for Initial Response

  • ICS-300: Intermediate Incident Command System (ICS) for Expanding Incidents

  • IS-700.a: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction

  • IS-800.b: National Response Framework, An Introduction

    • All courses (with the exception of ICS-300) listed above can be completed online at: FEMA IS Studies

    • To register for a FEMA Student Identification Number (SID) visit: FEMA SID


RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES: Experience using concepts and principles from IS-100, IS-200 and ICS-300 use of skills in an operational environment. 


CLASS LOCATION(S): Course will be held at the Northampton County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 100 Gracedale Avenue, Nazareth, PA 18064. (NC EOC DIRECTIONS)
