COURSE DESCRIPTION: This entry level course is designed to introduce new firefighters to fire ground operation including fire hose, water supply, hose operations, ropes and knots, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), building construction and scene lighting. This is the second of four levels (courses) in the curriculum.
MANDATORY PREREQUISITES:

Must be at least 14 years old at start of class.

Must have successfully completed Introduction to the Fire Service (ELIS) course.

Must have successfully completed Hazardous Materials Awareness (HMA) course.
RECOMMENDED PREREQUISITES: None listed.

Lecture & testing shall be held at the Northampton County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 100 Gracedale Avenue, Nazareth, PA 18064. (NC EOC DIRECTIONS)

Skills shall be held at the Northampton County Fire School (NCFS) located at 6 Nagys Hill Road, Bangor, PA 18013. (NCFS DIRECTIONS)
